EURØP is an e-money token, also known as an euro stablecoin, pegged 1:1 to the euro (EUR). Issued by Schuman Financial, it is fully backed by reserves held at Europe’s leading financial institutions. Designed with rigorous collateralisation, EURØP maintains a stable value of 1:1 with the euro.

All Schuman Financial reserves are held in cash and cash equivalents, safeguarded by leading European financial institutions, including Société Générale. The reserves are audited quarterly by KPMG, one of the Big Four accounting firms. The first audit report will be published three months after the launch of EURØP.

The Schuman Financial platform enables qualified business clients to redeem EURØP directly. Retail users and non-qualified businesses can also redeem EURØP through Schuman Financial by completing this form and fulfilling the necessary AML and KYC requirements. However, we strongly recommend using our partner digital wallets and exchanges for a faster, more seamless redemption experience.

All issuance is closely monitored and verified to ensure full reserve backing. When a qualified business client deposits euros (EUR) into their Schuman Financial account, Schuman Financial issues an equivalent amount of EURØP. This process, known as “minting,” releases new EURØP into circulation.

Schuman Financial operates under a French EMT license, fully compliant with the new Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulations. It is a regulated financial entity supervised by the Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution (ACPR), part of the Banque de France, the French central bank.
